Genius Gallery

Privacy Policy

Effective 31 October 2026 · Genius Gallery for Android and Android TV · Published by DEADLINER AI LTD

The short version

Genius Gallery does not collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.

What stays on your device

Your settings (language, how often the artwork changes, which collections are on, captions) are saved only on your device. A small cache of recently shown images is kept on your device so the gallery also works offline. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.

Network requests

To show artwork, the app downloads images directly from Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org), which hosts the public-domain and openly licensed works in the collection. Like any website you visit, Wikimedia's servers receive your device's IP address and a technical request header that identifies the app. We do not receive or see this information. Wikimedia's own privacy policy applies to those requests: foundation.wikimedia.org/wiki/Policy:Privacy_policy.

Permissions and why they are needed

• Internet: to download artwork images.
• Set wallpaper: to place the artwork on your lock screen, only if you turn this feature on.
• Run at startup: to keep your lock screen schedule after the phone restarts.
• Foreground service: used only in the "every time the screen turns off" mode, to notice when the screen turns off and change the artwork.

Sharing

When you tap share, the app hands the current image and its caption to the Android share menu. Where it goes next is your choice; the app itself sends nothing.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
